Former Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Kurtis Rourke will be representing the program at the 2025 NFL Draft Combine along with fellow Hoosier defensive lineman C.J West.
Senior quarterback Kurtis Rourke was one of just 15 quarterbacks invited to the annual event.
Rourke, Indiana’s starting quarterback transferred from Ohio, where he spent four season. In 2023, he was named MAC Player of the Year after leading the league with 3,257 passing yards and 25 touchdowns.
In his lone season at Indiana he ended the season having thrown for 3,042 yards, 29 touchdowns and 5 interceptions and leading the Hoosiers to an 11-2 record and CFB Playoff Berth, which was their best season in school history.
He finished ninth in the Heisman Trophy voting, earned a second-team All-Big Ten selection, and was a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award, Walter Camp Award, and Davey O’Brien Award.
It was revealed after the season that Rourke played the majority of the year with a torn ACL, per ESPN
His mobility was limited by the knee injury, but Rourke looked like a pro pocket passer all season with Indiana, earning the fourth-highest passing grade nationwide from Pro Football Focus.
It's unclear what drills if any Rourke will be doing but he is likely to throw to boost his draft status. He is seen as a third day pick currently, he will likely be selected between rounds 5-7.
"Rourke earns a draftable grade because of his size, experience and production. He’s coming off an ACL tear, but the injury might not have a major impact on his draft slotting since his game isn’t built on mobility. Rourke’s evaluation requires 2023 tape to get a feel for his delivery and velocity when his knee is stable. While he can make pro throws, the accuracy and placement is average. He’s a decent field-reader who throws with adequate touch and anticipation. Rourke played winning football in 2024 and he’s plenty tough, but he needs to take better care of the football if he wants to stick with an NFL team."NFL.com Analyst Lance Zierlein
