Former Indiana basketball player Miller Kopp signs with Oklahoma City Thunder
This week the Oklahoma City Thunder announced they’ve signed former Indiana Hoosier guard/forward Miller Kopp to their training camp roster.
The 25 year-old Kopp, played the 2023-24 season for the Oklahoma City Blue in the NBA’s G League, averaging 6.3 points and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 31.1 percent from three winning a G-League title.
The 6-foot-7-inch, 220-pounder averaged 9.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game over three seasons from 2018-2021 at Northwestern before transferring to Indiana. In Bloomington, Kopp started 70 games in two seasons averaging 7.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
Along with his basketball achievements, Kopp earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award Honoree his senior year.
Kopp will likely spend the season with the G League's OKC Blue. The training camp invite is to gain his G League rights. He will also likely see playing time during the preseason said Clemente Almanza of Oklahoma City Thunder Wire.
