Holmes, Indiana’s all-time leading scorer, was selected by the Storm at No. 26 in the third round of the 2024 WNBA Draft but missed the entire 2024 season after undergoing knee surgery.
While recovering from her knee injury, Holmes worked with the Indiana University Women’s Basketball program as a graduate manager under head coach Teri Moren in 2024.
In February of 2025, the Storm signed Holmes to a rookie contract, but she was waived during the preseason.
In her only game with the Seattle Storm, Holmes scored nine points on 80% shooting and recorded eight rebounds and three blocks during a preseason game on May 4 against the Connecticut Sun.
In her time in Bloomington, Indiana the 6-foot-3 Gorham, Maine native finished her career at ranked first in four stat lines including the program’s all-time leading scorer (2,530), field goals made (1,043), field goal percentage (63.9), and wins (123).
In her five-year season in Bloomington, Holmes earned eight All-American selections, and in 2024, she earned unanimous All-Big Ten First Team, All-Big Ten Defensive Team, USWBA, and AP All American selections.
Previously to her time at Indiana, Holmes was the Gatorade State Player of the Year three years in a row in high school and a McDonald's All-American her senior season.
Holmes, who is 6-foot-3, fills an open spot on the Storm's active roster that was created Saturday when Seattle traded center Li Yueru to the Dallas Wings for two future draft picks.
