The Indiana Hoosiers are working on trying to recreate the success they had in the 2024 season.

Former Alabama quarterback and college football analyst Greg McElroy broke down Indiana's schedule this fall during a recent episode of "Always College Football."

On his latest podcast episode of "Always College Football," Greg McElroy discussed the Hoosiers' upcoming season and whether they can replicate their success from last year.

McElroy broke down the schedule game-by-game and revealed the obvious: at a minimum, a bowl berth should be a standard, not a bonus.

"They should be 3-0 in the non conference," McElroy said. "Old Dominion, Kennesaw State and Indiana State. Should be 3-0 there. If you look at their other wins, I think they can get Michigan State at home, UCLA at home and Purdue on the road. Now, you are at six wins automatically... The L's, I think you're not going to win at Oregon, and I have a hard time envisioning them winning on the road against Penn State.

The Hoosiers finished the season 11-2, but were eliminated by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the College Football Playoffs.

Last season was the best Indiana football has ever finished with a Heisman candidate quarterback in Kurtis Rourke, three All-American defensive players and a CFB Playoff berth.

The Hoosiers certainly have a lot to prove in 2025 based on what they did in 2024, but don't count them or Cignetti out just yet because this is all just fuel for their fire in 2025.

Indiana opens the season against Old Dominion on August 30th at home in Bloomington, Indiana.
