Five Former Indiana Hoosiers participating in 2025 NBA Summer League

The NBA Summer League kicked off July 5–20th in Las Vegas, Nevada and features all 30 NBA teams and includes recent draft picks, G League players and international prospects. It serves as a key evaluation period ahead of training camps in the fall.

Let's find out where all the Indiana Hoosiers you need to keep up with this summer in the NBA Summer League and what team they will play for.

Jalen Hood-Schifino (76ers) was a 2023 first-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Lakers, Hood-Schifino appeared in just 25 games in 202-25 averaging 1.7 points, 0.6 points, and 0.4 assists in 5.3 minutes per game with Los Angeles. He also played last season with the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-way contract. With the 76ers he averaged 7.8 points per game in 13 appearances.

Kel'el Ware, a 7-foot center, was the No. 15 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Miami Heat following a breakout season at Indiana. He averaged 15.9 points and 9.9 rebounds for the Hoosiers in 2023–24 after transferring from Oregon.

Ware averaged 9.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 22.2 minutes per game. He also shot 55.4 percent from the field, 31.5 percent from 3-point range and 68.7 percent at the free-throw line, recording 15 double doubles this season. He was named All NBA Rookie 2nd Team in 2024-25.

Miller Kopp went undrafted in 2023 he signed with the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder’s G League affiliate. Now entering his third season with the team, Kopp averaging 12.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while shooting 43.5% from 3-point range on 216 attempts, 46.7% from the field and 75.8% at the free throw line in 33 total games.

Oumar Ballo will be playing with the Miami Heat.Ballo played in 31 games with 29 starts for the Hoosiers in 2024-25, his only season in Bloomington. He averaged 13.0 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 blocks per game. He also shot 62.3 percent from the floor, adding 13 double doubles to the year.

Former Indiana Hoosier Tamar Bates signed a two way contract with the Denver Nuggets immediately following going un-drafted in the 2025 NBA Draft. Bates began his collegiate career at Indiana and played two seasons there before transferring to Missouri in 2023.
