Indiana's roster for the 2026-27 season is nearly complete. Darian DeVries and the Hoosiers still have one roster spot available, and DeVries has stated that it's been left open intentionally. As the month of August quickly approaches, DeVries has several options when it comes to filling that final spot.
One name for Hoosier fans to keep an eye on is Auburn transfer Keyshawn Hall, who was recently granted an additional season of eligibility by the NCAA. He is currently exploring all of his college options, and he could make for a home run addition for DeVries and company.

Hall has already played four years of college basketball at four different schools. He's spent time at UNLV, George Mason, UCF, and most recently, Auburn.
Last week, On3 reported that Hall was granted a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit that challenged the NCAA's new age-based eligibility rules. The lawsuit took place in Ohio (Hall is from Cleveland), and he was ultimately given an additional year of college eligibility. The moves comes despite Hall playing in five games for the Miami Heat in the NBA Summer League, as he has not signed a professional contract which maintains his college eligibility for the 2026-27 season.
Now, Hall is reportedly exploring multiple college options. No specific programs have been linked to him yet, but DeVries needs to do his do diligence and give it a shot.

Hall brings a well-rounded skill set to the table that could fit in quite nicely in Bloomington. After averaging 16.6 points at George Mason in 2023-24 and 18.8 points per game at UCF in 2024-25, Hall averaged 19.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game this past season at Auburn. He also shot a strong 45.1% from the floor and 37.9% from beyond the arc.
Hall has earned all-conference recognition on multiple occasions. He earned Second-Team All-Big 12 honors with UCF in 2024-25 and Third-Team All-SEC honors with Auburn this past season. There is a lot to like about his game, and he could be the missing piece that Indiana needs.
Owning a 6'7" 230-pound frame, Hall joining Indiana's impressive portal class would be a huge get for the Hoosiers. Along with 7'2" center Samet Yigitoglu (SMU), 6'11" power forward Aiden Sherrell (Alabama), and returning 6'8" forward Trent Sisley, adding Hall to Indiana's frontcourt would give IU plenty of potential.
Furthermore, Hall's versatility and outside shooting ability is exactly what DeVries loves to prioritize in his offensive system. The Hoosiers didn't play with the pace and efficiency that DeVries wants to see last season, and bringing in a guy like Hall could help change that in DeVries' second season in Bloomington.
The roster is in good shape without him, but there's no denying that Hall would raise Indiana's ceiling in 2026 should he come to Bloomington.
