What did Curt Cignetti have to say about his teams newfound success, there No. 16 AP ranking and historic matchup this Saturday versus Nebraska ?

Indiana Hoosiers head coach Curt Cignetti is keeping there eyes on the prize and the focus on themselves this week.

"As always, it's more about us and what we do, controlling what we can control. Having a great day today of preparation and stacking good days," Cignetti said Monday during his media availability.

"It's more about us and what we do," adding that his team can only "control what we can control."

Coach Matt Rhule has done a great job with the football team there, 5-1, impressive team on tape," Cignetti said. "Giving up 11 points a game on defense, a veteran outfit, and offensivley big offensive line, big tight ends, play a lot of guys, really skilled receivers, a lot of good running backs and a mega talented young quarterback."

Cignetti on his team handling the success of the seasons start:

“We have enough maturity and leadership and experience on this football team, I'm confident that we can handle that,” Cignetti said.

“I made a couple comments when I first got hired. I was out there on a limb a little bit, felt like that's what I needed to do,” Cignetti said “I think it's more of a reflection on how the team has played and the success that they've had on the field that's gotten people excited, and this is just a byproduct of that.”

Indiana’s offense ranks second nationally with 47.5 points per game, and its defense ranks 11th with 14.8 points allowed per game. Indiana along with Army is one of only two teams that hasn’t trailed at any point this season, and it's one of nine teams with a 6-0 record.

Indiana is in a three way tie for first place early in the Big Ten Conference race tied with Oregon and Penn State.

Indiana’s game this weekend against Nebraska and the game will be nationally televised on FOX and the network’s Big Noon Kickoff will broadcast live from campus. 

Indiana (6-0) and Nebraska (5-1) will kick at Noon ET Saturday in Bloomington.
