Curt Cignetti is currently 18-2 at Indiana and has completely turned the Hoosier football program into something no one thought was possible. Indiana had always been known as one of the powerhouse basketball schools in the country, and now, they just might be known for the football program.
Cignetti has been the catalyst that Indiana needed in order to build this program into something big. The Hoosiers are 7-0 for the second season in a row, and Indiana University Memorial Stadium has never been more full and rocking on a Saturday. The love and support that Hoosier fans have shown is something Cignetti has loved the most about this program, and he made sure to let them know.
On his radio show on Thursday night, Cignetti closed it out by acknowledging everything the fans have done and showing his love for what is blooming in Bloomington.
"The one thing I enjoy the most is seeing the fans’ response to our success and the way we have packed the stadium," Cignetti said. "There’s a lot of Hoosier fans, and they’re growing, so let's do our part to keep them growing."

As Cignetti said, there are over 800,000 strong in Indiana's alumni base, so there certainly are a lot of Hoosier fans out there, and they are finally able to show some pride during the football season. The success of the football program has also helped the community and the state of Indiana, bringing more people in for games.
Having strong support from the fan base is something not every program has, and Indiana fans are probably just happy to have the success that they do right now. Cignetti certainly wants to perform well for them, too, hence why he wanted to show his love and support.
This Indiana team this year seems different from last year. In 2024, everyone thought it was luck of a first-year head coach, but this season, the Hoosiers are proving they are a force to be reckoned with.
The Hoosiers will take on UCLA at Noon at home, giving the fans yet another chance to come adn watch their team hopefully get another win.
