On Thursday night, Indiana Hoosiers women's basketball pulled off their biggest win and upset of the 2024-25 season with a win over No. 8 Ohio State 71-61 inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

Fast forward to today Sunday afternoon and the Indiana Hoosiers WBB team travels to East Lansing, Michigan to take on No. 22 Michigan State, but can IU pull off another Top 25 victory in the same week?

Under head coach Teri Moren, Indiana has a record of (17-9, 9-6) and soundly defeated Ohio State (22-4, 11-4) in a matchup were the Hoosiers controlled the lead most of the ball game.

Senior Sydney Parrish has been hot lately as she finished with 16 points, six rebounds and four assists. Sharpshooter Yarden Garzon was right on par with Parrish, with 16 points also adding 11 rebounds for a double-double. Karoline Striplin and Shay Ciezki also added double-figure scores with 16 and 11 points respectively.

That was the signature win Indiana needed to get off "the bubble" and to enter the conversation as one of the best at large teams or even maybe as a ranked themselves if they get hot enough down the strecth. A win over Michigan State at 2 pm E.T today would open the eyes of voters nationally.

Here is what head coach Teri Moren had to say bout the win and the sense of urgency they have for the remainder of the season:

“As we go down the stretch here, everything is about urgency. With the schedule that we have, we have some opportunities here, and we know that Michigan State's much like Ohio State in terms of the way they press and whatnot. So we're kind of using it as a – I don't know if it's an advantage, but going and playing against a team like Ohio State that does press, we know that Michigan State's going to – that's how they play as well. But yeah, these kids, again, their sense of urgency, I know today in shoot around it just felt a little bit different.” via her press conference after the Michigan State game

Indiana head coach Teri Moren is in her 11th season as the head coach of the Hoosiers with a record an overall record of 243-108.

The Hoosiers have won two in a row over the Spartans and five of the last seven contests.

If Indiana pulls of the win today they will need to limit turnovers, create spacing for their three point shooters and win the free throw line battle as they are fourth in the Big Ten in free throw percentage, shooting .774 from the charity stripe.
