The Indiana Baseball team (31-24) will take on the Iowa Hawkeyes May 22nd tonight (Thursday), at Charles Schwab Field in Big Ten Tournament in the final game of Pool C.

Indiana the No. 6 seed in the Big Ten Tournament lost to the Rutgers Scarlett Knights (No. 10) in a 5-2 upset.

The Scarlet Knights (29-27) hit three home runs and starting pitcher Landon Mack pitched one of his best games of the year to take down the Hoosiers.

Here is what Mack said about his performance and Rutgers win earlier this week:

"I've got all these guys behind my back and it means something different to them. And that's what motivates me to go out there and do what I do to my fullest potential," Mack said of the team's performance. "I love being part of this team and the culture that we have. To be able and go represent my home state – I'm just blessed to have this opportunity and have fun with it."

Three-time All-Big Ten first team player Devin Taylor hit a two-run home run in the ninth to try and overcome the 5-0 deficit but it wasn't quite enough.

With the loss Indiana is pretty much eliminated from the 2025 BIG Ten tournament.

The four pools at the Big Ten Tournament have three teams each and the play a round-robin format over four days. In its tiebreaker, the Big Ten decided to give the highest seed the tiebreaker in the conferences new format.
