The Hoosiers were expected to dominate both of those outings, and that's exactly what they did. Curt Cignetti's squad defeated North Texas 52-16 and Howard 55-0, giving Hoosier fans plenty to cheer about in the first two weeks of the season.

Indiana is set to wrap up non-conference play in Week 3 with a home matchup against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. Kick-off is slated for 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium. Given how solid Indiana has looked over the first two weeks of the season, professional oddsmakers are expecting another emphatic win for the Cream and Crimson.
Indiana vs Western Kentucky betting odds don't come as a surprise
Western Kentucky has generally been a solid program over the past decade. However, they are off to an 0-2 start this season with losses to Nevada and No. 2 Georgia. Not surprisingly, Indiana is expected to put forth another dominating effort.
On Sunday, early odds for Saturday's matchup between the Hoosiers and Hilltoppers were released on DraftKings Sportsbook. Indiana is favored by a whopping 44.5 points. Furthermore, moneyline odds are not even available as of this publishing. That shows just how confident professional oddsmakers are in Cignetti and company finding the win column. The total, or over/under, is listed at 59.5.
Despite outscoring their first two opponents 107-16, the Hoosiers are 0-2 against the spread to start the season. Indiana was favored by 40.5 points against North Texas but won by 36, and then entered Week 2's matchup against Howard as a 56.5-point favorite and won by 55. Hoosiers looking to keep things rolling in final non-conference game
Being favored by 40 or more points was once virtually unheard of for Indiana football. That has changed under Curt Cignetti. The Hoosiers are now routinely favored by sizable margins against inferior opponents, and Cignetti has consistently delivered lopsided wins in those situations.
Cignetti's team has looked solid through two games, and with Big Ten play right around the corner, the Hoosiers will be looking to fine tune different areas of their game against Western Kentucky. At the same time, Cignetti and his staff likely don't want to put too much on tape before conference play begins. Thus, Indiana's top priorities for Week 3 should be to pickup a big win, avoid injury, and work in the second- and third-teams to further evaluate depth.
After battling WKU on Saturday, Indiana will begin Big Ten play on Friday, September 25 against Northwestern.
