Basketball is more than just a sport in the state of Indiana; it is a way of life for both men's and women's basketball. For the Indiana Hoosiers, basketball is the sport that drives fandom at the university and Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall is one of the best basketball environments for a fan in all of college basketball.
In the Big Ten, there are a lot of tough places to play, but for women's basketball, there are certainly some tough arenas that no one enjoys having to go play a game in. Big Ten women's basketball analyst Autumn Johnson ranked her top five favorite women's basketball arenas to play in, and Assembly Hall found itself near the top.

There really isn't any question that Carver-Hawkeye Arena is No. 1, as the Iowa Hawkeyes have had an amazing fanbase for women's basketball in the last few years, thanks to the excellent play of Caitlin Clark. Even without Clark now on the team, the fanbase for women's basketball has grown so much that fans want to witness each and every game they can.
Galen Center, home of the UCS Trojans and home of one of the most exciting women's basketball players right now, JuJu Watkins, comes in ranked at No. 2, just ahead of Assembly Hall, home of the Hoosiers.
Whether it is men's basketball or women's basketball, Hoosier fans know how to pack Assembly Hall and make it such a tough environment for any team to play in. The Hoosiers this season have 10 losses, and only four of them have come at home compared to the 11 wins they have.
With just one home game left, the Hoosiers have a chance to protect their home court, one of the best home courts in women's college basketball, according to Autumn Johnson.
