According to a new report from On3 Sports' Joe Tipton North Florida forward Josh Harris has committed to the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball program.

Tipton had previously reported that Harris was set to take two visits this week to Miami and to Bloomington for a second visit but he will no longer be visiting as he is now locked in with Darian DeVries and the Hoosiers program.

Harris, a native of Pembroke Pines, Florida, started and played in 30 games this season averaging 13.4 points and 7.1 rebounds on 55.7 percent shooting from the field and 33.3 percent from three point line in 22.5 minutes per game in 2024-25.

Harris was named to the e All-Freshman Team in the Atlantic Sun in his lone season at North Florida in Jacksonville, on a North Florida team that finished 15-17 and tied for seventh in the ASUN Conference.

“One of the first qualities that stood out about Josh Harris was his simplified approach to the game, unique for someone with such a high level of skill and size. Josh always makes his teams better by keeping the ball hot, sharing it and scoring it from three or at the rim. What’s also unique is that he rarely looks hurried,” Matthew Driscoll said of Harris. “Josh has the same approach to things off the floor, while having a passion to serve and be a daily difference in someone’s life.”

The 6-foot-8 and 220-pound Harris, was a teammate of incoming Indiana guard Jasai Miles who landed with the Hoosiers this off-season.

Currently ranked as a four-star prospect and the 162nd best transfer in the country according to 247Sports, Harris has three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Josh Harris is the tenth transfer portal commitment for Indiana this off-season, joining Tucker DeVries, Conor Enright, Reed Bailey, Lamar Wilkerson, Jasai Miles, Tayton Conerway, Jason Drake, Sam Alexis, Nick Dorn.
