Darian DeVries and the Indiana Hoosiers have not made any additions through the transfer portal, but the moves are coming. Indiana's 2026-27 roster currently consists of just four players, and the only official returner at this point in time in Trent Sisley. With plenty of roster spots to fill, DeVries needs to make plenty of splashes in the portal.

As DeVries and his staff continue to evaluate portal talent, a family connection could put Indiana in the driver's seat to bring a Second-Team All-Big East guard to Bloomington.
Seton Hall's Budd Clark could be a portal target for Darian DeVries and Indiana
On Thursday, Seton Hall guard Budd Clark entered the transfer portal. Clark started all 33 games for the Pirates this season and averaged 12.7 points, 4.9 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game. For his efforts, he was named to the All-Big East Second Team as well as the league's All-Defensive Team.
Clark has ties to the Indiana coaching staff, as he is the nephew of assistant coach Rod Clark. Given that family connection, DeVries and company figure to explore the possibility of bringing the 5'10" 165-pound guard to Bloomington.

Indiana has plenty of needs just about everywhere, but especially in the back court. Clark is a playmaker who can do a little bit of everything, and is especially stingy on the defensive end.
He also boasts plenty of college basketball experience, which is something DeVries has prioritized in the portal during his time at Indiana. Clark spent two seasons at Merrimack before playing for Seton Hall this season, and has 99 career starts under his belt. In his career, the Philadelphia, PA native is averaging 15.3 points, 5.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game.
Clark scored a season-high 31 points against Providence on February 11, and scored 24 points on January 28 against Xavier. He is an efficient scorer and distributor, but he is not a reliable three-point shooter. He is shooting just 22.7% from beyond the arc in his career, and he only shot 1.2 three's per game this past season.
Despite his three-point shooting woes, there is a lot to like about Clark. Hoosier fans shouldn't be surprised if DeVries makes a major push to bring him to Bloomington.
