Practice has begun for the upcoming 2026 college football season, and the Indiana Hoosiers are looking to continue taking the sport by storm. Coming off a historic 16-0 season and National Championship, Curt Cignetti has the Hoosiers ready to continue their winning ways.

Heading into fall camp, there are plenty of intriguing storylines to follow. Among them are all of the new faces on offense. With players like Fernando Mendoza, Omar Cooper Jr, Elijah Sarratt, Roman Hemby, Kaelon Black, Riley Nowakowski, and Pat Coogan off to the NFL, the Hoosier offense experienced plenty of roster turnover over the offseason.
Here is a look at five newcomers on the offensive side of the ball who are ready to make a splash in fall camp.
QB Josh Hoover
Josh Hoover follows the Cignetti blueprint for transfer quarterbacks at Indiana. Hoover is a veteran, has been a multi-year starter, and has been extremely productive throughout his career. The former TCU gunslinger has racked up 9,629 passing yards and 71 touchdowns over 36 games in his career. That gives him the most production among any returning college quarterback in the country. Following in the footsteps of Mendoza, a Heisman Trophy winning QB and Hoosier hero, won't be easy, but Hoover is up for the task.
WR Nick Marsh
It didn't take long for Michigan State transfer WR Nick Marsh to learn about Cignetti's no-nonsense approach during spring practice. Marsh wore gold cleats to Indiana's first spring practice session, and Cignetti quickly ripped into him for it. Needless to say, it wasn't the first impression Marsh wanted to make. Heading into fall camp, the 6'3" 213-pound wideout is ready for a different first impression. Marsh was one of the most coveted WRs in the portal, and he brings a dynamic skill set that figures to complement Charlie Becker. Together, they have a chance to be the best WR duo in the country.
RB Turbo Richard
Turbo Richard has all the makings of a breakout star. Last season at Boston College, Richard ran for 749 yards and 9 touchdowns on 145 carries, which was good for an average of 5.2 yards per carry. He was also effective in the passing game, as he hauled in 30 catches for 213 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Owning a stocky 5'8" 207-pound frame, Richard's effective in both the running and passing game could make for a great fit in Bloomington. With Hemby and Black both gone, Richard will be eager to make a lasting first impression this fall.
WR Shazz Preston
Indiana's WR room will undoubtedly be led by Becker and Marsh. But who will grab the No. 3 WR job? Tulane transfer Shazz Preston could be the man for the job. Preston enjoyed a breakout campaign last season with the Green Wave in which he led Tulane in catches (43), receiving yards (723), and receiving touchdowns (4). He is a big play waiting to happen, as he owns elite speed and a strong ability to rack up yards after the catch. The Louisiana native averaged 16.8 yards per catch and a long of 69 yards last season. Looking to take a stranglehold on the No. 3 WR job, Preston is a player to keep your eye on.
OL Joe Brunner
Indiana's offensive line features plenty of returning production, but one newcomer includes Wisconsin transfer Joe Brunner. He was one of the highest-rated players in IU's transfer portal class, and has made 39 appearances with 29 starts in his college football career. Brunner spent the last two seasons playing on the interior offensive line for the Badgers. However, Cignetti expects him to move to right tackle for the upcoming season. Taking on a new position with a new team, Brunner will be looking to start fall camp on a high note.
