The start of fall camp is quickly approaching for Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers. More specifically, camp is slated to begin this week on Wednesday, August 5.
Coming off a perfect National Championship-winning season, the Hoosiers have a solid mix of returning production and new talent added through the transfer portal. Big names such as Josh Hoover, Nick Marsh, and Charlie Becker are garnering plenty of attention heading into fall camp.
However, there are several players flying under the radar that have great opportunities to impress over the next month before the season opener rolls around on September 5 against North Texas.
WR Tyler Morris
Indiana is set to enter the 2026 season with plenty of talent at the wide receiver position. Becker and Marsh can be among the most lethal WR duos in the country, and Tyler Morris has a chance to become a significant contributor behind them.

Morris comes to Indiana after spending four seasons at Michigan. He was a part of Michigan's National Championship team in 2023, and put up solid numbers in 2024 before missing all of last season with an injury. Now healthy again, he is looking to carve out a steady role in the Hoosier passing attack.
In his last season of college football in 2024, Morris totaled 23 catches for 248 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those numbers don't jump off the page, but his 248 receiving yards led all Michigan WRs that season. The Wolverines had one of the worst passing offenses in the Big Ten that season, and now that he's in a much better situation in Bloomington, Morris has the potential to put together a career year.
DL Daniel Ndukwe
It's clear that Cignetti has been high on Daniel Ndukwe since he first stepped on campus. Back in 2024, Ndukewe was one of just 12 true freshmen to debut in 2024 and one of five not to use a redshirt. Cignetti saw the potential right away, and now heading into his junior season, Ndukwe is a strong breakout candidate for the Hoosiers.
Ndukwe has appeared in 27 games over the last two seasons, and he played a key part in Indiana's run in the College Football Playoff last season. Injuries forced Ndukwe into a larger role as a sophomore, and he showed he was up to the task. Now looking for a more consistent role on Indiana's defensive line, don't be surprised if Ndukwe raises some eyebrows in fall camp.
OL Adedamola Ajani
Indiana's offensive line is full of veteran experience. Carter Smith, Bray Lynch, Drew Evans, and Joe Brunner will all be seniors, while Adedamola Ajani is projected to be the youngest starter up front as a redshirt sophomore.
Entering Week 1, Cignetti plans for Ajani to slot into Indiana's starting right guard spot. Ajani brings plenty of versatility to the table, as he saw time at right guard, left guard, and right tackle last season. He filled in wherever was needed, and played meaningful snaps throughout the postseason. He's under the radar because he hasn't been seen in a true starting role, but that is expected to change this fall.
