Alston, who is rated Ohio’s No. 2 player in the 2027 class, the nation’s No. 11 cornerback by the247 Sports Composite and ranked No. 113 overall in the class overall nationally.
The junior cornerback stands at 6 feet and 175 pounds, Alston recently received an invitation to participate in the 2026 Polynesian Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii in January.
“This invitation is just a blessing,” Alston told local reporters “It just shows how much work I put in and I am truly blessed. This is really special. I grew up watching players play in this game and I just thank God for this opportunity.”
As of now four-star quarterback Jameson Purcell is the lone recruit to commit to the class of 2027 for Curt Cignetti and Indiana.
Adding Alston who is a very good corner because of his abilty to play well in zone coverage and man coverage would be a huge home run for the Hoosiers future. Indiana and Bryant Haines (defensive coordinator) just want to keep adding homegrown talent to this team so they can compete for a title year in and year out.
