2. Donta Scott – Senior Forward – #24

2022-23 stats: 21 GP, 31.3 MIN, 11.9 PPG, 6.3 REB, 1.0 BLK, 40.7 FG%, 1.3 3PM, 30.4 3P%

Last season against the Hoosiers, Scott shot just 4-for-18 from the field and 1-for-10 from three-point range in the Terrapins’ two losses. His seven and 10 points posted in those two games were the second and tied for the sixth-fewest points he scored in conference play last season.

Scott shot 4-for-14 from the field and 2-for-7 from three-point range in Saturday’s win against Nebraska. The senior forward registered 12 points, six rebounds, and two assists in 35 minutes and seems to find more comfort in shooting the ball recently.

The senior forward for Maryland has made two or more three-pointers in 10 games this season, including two performances against Saint Louis and Miami FL where he poured in 20+ points for the Terps. Maryland is 6-5 in games where Scott makes one or fewer three-pointers and holds a record of 8-2 in games where Scott makes multiple three-pointers.

Shut down Scott from beyond the arc and Indiana basketball could be looking good in College Park!
