#4. Kaleb Banks played really productive minutes without Jordan Geronimo

Aside from games against non-major conference teams or garbage time in blowout wins or losses, freshman forward, Kaleb Banks, has hardly seen the floor for meaningful minutes this season.

While he’s earning the trust and building in practice for Coach Woodson, the time has finally come where Banks was needed, especially with the absence of Jordan Geronimo. Coach Woodson had no other forward that he could bring off the bench aside from his two freshman forwards, Malik Reneau and Banks.

In 12 minutes of action against the Buckeyes, Banks provided five points on 2-for-3 shooting and 1-for-4 from the free throw line, along with a career-high seven rebounds and one assist. Coming out of nowhere, Banks looked to bring a bit of energy and passion to the floor that was needed for the Hoosiers to thrive on Saturday night.

Who knows how long Geronimo will be out? Could we see more action from Banks in the coming games? Was this just an outlier game for the freshman?
