#5. The Hoosiers are somehow one of the best shooting teams in the Big Ten

In Saturday’s contest, Indiana basketball shot 10-for-20 from beyond the three-point line, with freshman standout, Jalen Hood-Schifino knocking down six of his nine attempts, including five in the first half for the Hoosiers.

Last season, Indiana finished 11th-best in the Big Ten and 216th in Division I basketball in three-point shooting percentage at 33.3 percent, along with last in the Big Ten and 311th in Division I in three-pointers made per game at 5.9.

This season, something has changed. While they are still 10th in the Big Ten and Xth in Division I hoops in three-pointers made per game at 6.7, the Hoosiers rank second in the Big Ten and 20th in Division I in three-point shooting percentage at an impressive clip of 38.4 percent.

That shooting percentage would be the highest for an Indiana basketball team since finishing the 2015-16 season shooting 41.6 percent from beyond the arc, which placed them second in the Big Ten and fifth in Division I basketball.
