#3. Race Thompson‘s injury looked bad, and Indiana basketball is going to miss him immensely

In just 10 minutes of play, the super senior forward posted nine points on 4-for-4 shooting from the field, three rebounds, one assist, a steal, and a block before the unthinkable happened.

Kris Murray fell to the floor and took out Thompson’s right leg from right underneath him. With no chance to protect himself and an accidental fall that happens all the time in basketball, Thompson’s Indiana basketball career is now in limbo after being helped off the floor and surrounded by the entire Hoosiers roster as he shed tears.

Thompson came out of halftime on crutches and just seemed to be out of it completely, hardly being able to put any weight or pressure on his right knee. As we await his diagnosis and hopeful return, the absence of Thompson is going to weigh heavily on both Trayce Jackson-Davis, his best friend, and the others that have to step up quickly for Mike Woodson.
