#2. Jalen Hood-Schifino is a special, special player
Yet again, setting another career-high in points and assists, Jalen Hood-Schifino showed everyone why he’s either going to be the future Big Ten Player of the Year or he will have a chance to go in the lottery of the 2023 NBA Draft.
In 37 minutes of action, Hood-Schifino logged 21 points on 6-for-13 shooting from the field and a career-high five made three-pointers, along with adding three rebounds, and a career-high nine assists and just two turnovers.
Missing Xavier Johnson seems to be more focused defensively because offensively, Jalen Hood-Schifino is probably the best point guard Indiana basketball has had since Yogi Ferrell.
From step-back jumpers to flashy dishes, Hood-Schifino showed out in his first career Big Ten game and will hopefully back that game up with another big performance looming on Sunday against a guard-heavy Northwestern team.
