#1. Jalen Hood-Schifino is ready to take over this offense

In just his second game back from his three-game absence, Jalen Hood-Schifino played 30 minutes and scored a career-high 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting and 2-for-4 from three-point range, along with seven assists, two rebounds, and five turnovers.

His five turnovers are a lot, especially against a team like Elon, but it’s expected of a freshman guard in college, officially taking over all point guard duties with the injury to Xavier Johnson.

The only Indiana basketball player to total 80+ points, 40+ rebounds, and 40+ assists in their first nine career college games since at least 1996-97: Jalen Hood-Schifino. That’s it.

Hood-Schifino is definitely not afraid of the spotlight or attention as the lead guard in an offense, and it showed as he did not back away from taking shots or creating plays for everyone around him.
