Indiana basketball ranked No. 13 in Preseason AP Top 25
The Preseason AP Top 25 was released on October 17, with Mike Woodson & the Indiana basketball program earning its highest preseason ranking since 2016-17. The Associated Press revealed the preseason top 25 list on Monday morning and many college basketball fans are shocked to see some teams so high.

As you can notice, the Hoosiers will be taking on many ranked opponents this upcoming season; North Carolina (#1), Kansas (#5), Arizona (#17), Michigan (#22), and Illinois (#23), along with those receiving votes in the preseason poll like Purdue, Michigan State, Xavier, Ohio State, Iowa, and Rutgers.
The Big Ten has three teams ranked in the preseason top 25 for this upcoming season, with Indiana basketball being the highest-ranked team in the conference. The last time the Hoosiers were ranked the highest Big Ten team in a preseason poll dates back to 2012-13, when Indiana was ranked preseason #1 and finished the season #4 in the country.
Trayce Jackson-Davis and company have an incredible opportunity to make a strong opening statement in the first two weeks of the season with two “easy” home games and two “winnable” neutral-site games and earn themselves a top 10 ranking heading into the end of November and the toughest part of their non-conference slate.
