Last game: 20-10 loss vs. Purdue
Next game: Oct. 15 @ #24 Illinois
Like I said in last week’s Big Ten Power Rankings, without Mohamed Ibrahim, Minnesota is a below-average Big Ten team. After a week off to rest and get healthy, Ibrahim should be back and ready for a running back showdown against Chase Brown and #24 Illinois on Saturday.
This should be a really good game with two of the best running backs in college football going head-to-head. Tanner Morgan will need to step up and make plays if the Golden Gophers have any chance to take down the red-hot Fighting Illini in Champaign. Minnesota has won five of the last seven matchups against the Illini.
