Indiana basketball: Instant reaction to Hoosiers Big Ten schedule
Indiana basketball and the Big Ten Conference revealed the conference schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 season, and let’s just say the strength of the schedule for the Hoosiers is going to be one of the best in all of college basketball.
Mike Woodson and the Hoosiers finished their 2021-22 season 21-14 (.600) and 9-11 (.450) in his first season as head coach for Indiana basketball. Though there were definitely ups and downs throughout the season, Woodson and his best player, Trayce Jackson-Davis, led the Hoosiers to their first NCAA Tournament berth since 2016. Exiting early after winning their First Four matchup against Wyoming, there was definitely a salty taste in the mouth of Hoosier Nation after being blown out by Saint Mary’s (CA) in the first round.
Looking at the 2022-23 Indiana basketball schedule, the non-conference slate for the Hoosiers is the key to success for the upcoming season. Indiana basketball has key matchups against Xavier (Nov. 18), North Carolina (Nov. 30), Arizona (Dec. 10), and Kansas (Dec. 17).
While the Hoosiers will go into their conference games after playing three likely top-25 teams, there are many notable games on the conference schedule that will be telling of how Indiana basketball fares for the 2022-23 season and looking ahead at the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
