Jordan Geronimo could be the next Indiana Basketball star

Indiana fans have seen this movie before. Somehow, a freakishly athletic kid slips through the national radar and Indiana happens to snag him and turn him into an NBA player. Names like Victor Oladipo and OG Anunoby come to the top of mind. Is Jordan Geronimo next?

When Geronimo committed to Indiana on September 2, 2019, IU fans had no idea who they just got. At the time, he was barely in the top 100 players in the country, according to 247. Geronimo was fresh off a big time performance on the AAU circuit and was just starting to get offers from big time universities. However, Geronimo wasted no time committing to Indiana. Indiana fans were excited at the prospect of Geronimo but really did not know what to expect.

Fast forward to a little over a year later, Geronimo dominated his senior year with Saint Pauls in Concord, NH, averaging 18 points per game along with nine rebounds, two blocks, two steals, and two assists per contest. Geronimo’s performance was enough to win him NH Gatorade player of the year and a spot on the all-conference team.

And now, he’s in Bloomington. Geronimo wasted no time making a name for himself. He has been a regular on Indiana basketball’s social media, and was a huge talking point at media day, being called a “freak” three times.
