Indiana Hoosiers: Building a perfect Big Ten conference

Indiana Hoosiers: Making the perfect Big Ten
If we are sticking with 10 teams to make sure the Big Ten is numerically correct then we leave out all the rest of the current Big Ten teams and add two from the Bluegrass State.
Kentucky Wildcats.
Kentucky is firmly in the SEC, but if we were redoing the Big Ten they might make the jump. Bringing in the Wildcats to the Big Ten makes so much sense. They already have a (hopefully renewed very soon) rivalry with the Hoosiers in basketball. They fit perfectly geographically and bring a lot to the table. They are getting better in football and the rest of their sports programs are very good also. If it weren’t for the AAU guidelines the Big Ten has in place they may already be in the Big Ten. I think they like being in the SEC but it would be very tough to turn down the Big Ten. Hoosier fans would love to be able to play Kentucky every year and hopefully recreate this moment.
Louisville Cardinals
The last team in the newly minted Big Ten is Louisville. The Cardinals make a ton of sense also. Just like Kentucky, they aren’t part of the AAU but we threw that requirement out the window. Geographically they are a perfect fit being just outside Indiana. They again would strengthen the basketball in the conference and bring a good football team along. They haven’t been great in football but they have had some nationally recognized programs lately. Remember Lamar Jackson? They are a lot like Kentucky and bring a lot to the table. Adding these two schools from the state of Kentucky would be a win for everyone involved.
