Indiana Hoosiers: Making the perfect Big Ten

We get to the last three teams we must keep in the Big Ten from the current Big Ten. There are a couple of other schools we will talk about in a little bit, but if we are sticking with a 10 team conference these are the three that must stay.

Ohio State Buckeyes

It seems like we can keep saying the same thing over and over again about some of these schools and Ohio State would fall right into that list. You can’t have the Big Ten without the Buckeyes. The school most others love to hate. They hate them mostly because of their success in football which doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Football fans might not want them in the conference anymore, but if you are being honest with yourself they need to be in. The Buckeyes are also normally very good in basketball and continue to produce good sports teams across the board. And just like you can not split up Purdue and Indiana, there is no way you can split up the Buckeyes and Wolverines. They absolutely hate each other, but they still want to play every year.

Wisconson Badgers

Wisconsin is starting to stretch geographically but there is no way we can make a Big Ten conference without them. The Badgers are the definition of what we want with a Big Ten conference. They always run out one of the hardest working teams in the conference and they are the definition fo the hard nose ways of the Big Ten. They may not field the best teams in the conference on paper, but they will knock you in the mouth and a lot of times come out on top. They are going to outwork you and they are successful because of it.

Iowa Hawkeyes

Just like Wisconsin, they are another team that is the definition of what we want the Big Ten to be. Just a hard-working team that will beat you up and win games. We skipped over another current Big Ten team to get to Iowa and we have no regrets about it. Iowa may be on the western edge of the area we want to go for the conference but we absolutely want them in the conference.
