The Indiana football team picked up a big commitment on Friday when Jordyn Williams picked the Hoosiers over Louisville.

The Hoosiers picked up a big win on Friday when 3-star receiver Jordyn Williams committed to Indiana over Louisville. The Cardinals looked like the biggest threat to the Hoosiers, but Indiana was in good shape after looking like they took the lead in recruitment in the last couple of weeks.

Williams announced his decision on his Twitter page on Friday.

Williams is the sixth commit for the Hoosiers 2021 recruiting class and the first receiver to pick Indiana. He joins tight end Aaron Steinfeldt and running back David Holloman as the only offensive commits so far.

He is currently rated as the 90th ranked player in the state of Georgia according to 247sports. Williams is 6’1″ and 205 pounds and has good speed and is a great pick up for the Hoosiers.

While not rated really high, he is expected to possibly be a diamond in the rough and could be a steal. Williams will definitely get his shot to get on the field right away with Whop Philyor and Ty Fryfogle both graduating after this year.

He has the opportunity to work with an up and coming quarterback in Michael Penix Jr. and work in an offense that has been able to score a lot of points lately. The Hoosiers needed to bring in some receivers with their depth getting thin with the graduating seniors and getting Williams is a big deal.

Williams had interest from a lot of different schools and even had an offer from Alabama, but Louisville and Indiana came out as the leaders with the Hoosiers coming out on top.

While the 2021 class for the Hoosiers is still small it is starting to shape into a great group of players.
