The Indiana football team remained in the running for a 3-star tight end out of Alabama when he announced his top eight on Monday.

Trinity Bell, a 3-star tight end, tweeted out his final eight on Monday and the Hoosiers were part of his list.

His top eight also includes fellow Big Ten schools Purdue and Nebraska, SEC schools Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, and Kentucky. The final school on his list is the UCF Golden Knights.

Auburn and Tennessee look to be the front runners for the class of 2021 tight end, but still being in the running is a good sign for the Hoosiers.

Bell is a huge target at 6’7″ and 256 pounds as just a Junior. He would be a huge get and add another very good tight end to the 2021 class after the Hoosiers got a commit from fellow 2021 class tight end Aaron Steinfeldt.

If the Hoosiers could reel in Bell also, it would make for a very good tight end group for Indiana. The Hoosiers have been doing a great job on the recruiting trail lately and have gotten commitments from a lot of kids from the south.

With Bell’s size, the Hoosiers could even split him out and make him a matchup nightmare for the opposing team’s cornerbacks.

It still seems like a longshot for the Hoosiers to land Bell, but the prospect of having his size in the passing game has to be making the Indiana faithful dream big.
