A possible series between two historically great programs would be terrific for college basketball  and both programs alike.

Despite neither program being great over the past three years, the trajectory of both is very similar.

They both have younger and fiery head coaches that came from the A-10 conference with a high success of winning. While neither has been able to have early success at their current program, both are doing it the right way and are expected to have a very good 2020-21 season and beyond.

How good of a game could it be? Look no further than this past season at the Jimmy V Classic. A game that took place at Madison Square Garden didn’t disappoint. While it may not have been a pretty game, it was a game that definitely took the gritty personality of both Archie Miller and Dan Hurley.

This is a series that could easily do a home-and-home series in addition to a neutral site game due to the proximity, much more than Arizona.

If there was any time to look into making this happen, it would be now as both programs are about to hit their stride.
