Indiana Basketball: Top 10 moments from 2019-20 season
By Adam Childs
7. Jackson-Davis has monster two games
Trayce Jackson-Davis was expected to be good this year, but no one knew quite how good. He started the season off hot but in games six and seven of the season, he really introduced himself to the country.
The Hoosiers would easily beat Louisiana Tech and Sout Dakota State and it had a lot to do with how well Jackson-Davis played. He would go for back-to-back double-doubles and looked absolutely dominant in those games.
Jackson-Davis would score 21 and 19 in the two games and have 11 and 14 rebounds also. He showed how dominated he could be inside and what a force he could be on the glass. TJD would end up with 12 double-doubles on the year and these were numbers three and four.
With how good he was in those games, there was a question on if he was getting enough touches. Even with the limited touches, Jackson-Davis was about as efficient as any other player in the country. It helped lead to some monster games and wins for Indiana.
It was a great two games stretch for TJD and one that would carry through the rest of the year.
