1. How Indiana Matches Up Against NCAA Tournament Teams

Indiana has been a classic case of Jekyll and Hyde this season and needs to show more of the Jekyll side in order to have a successful end to the year. The good thing is, there are ample opportunities for the Hoosiers to add to their resume.

In the final nine games of the season, five of them are against tournament teams or teams on the bubble, with three of them coming at home (Iowa, Penn State, Wisconsin).

So far this season, the Hoosiers have shown how good they can be with wins over Florida State, Michigan State, and Ohio State, but have also shown the bad with double-digit losses to Wisconsin, Maryland, and Penn State. They also failed to show up during the physical play against Rutgers and Ohio State, the second time around, as well.

Despite Losing Streak, Hoosiers Remain In NCAA Tournament Field. light. More

Because of Indiana’s inconsistencies on any given day, the ability is there for the Hoosiers to rattle off some big wins before the Big Ten Tournament, where they can easily get another one or two quality wins once it starts.

Right now, they stand at 5-6 in the Big Ten, which isn’t all that bad. With how talented from top-to-bottom the conference is, with anywhere from 9-11 teams projected in the NCAA Tournament field, any win is a good win, and no loss is all that much of a bad loss.

Not only will this final stretch of basketball tell us a lot about the Hoosiers and the possibility of a run in the NCAA Tournament, but it will also tell us a lot about Archie Miller and the Indiana program moving into next year, a crucial year for Miller.
