4. Indiana makes a Final Four

It has been 18 years since the Hoosiers last made a Final Four when they made a surprise run to the National Title game only to lose to Maryland before the Terrapins joined the Big Ten.

To be honest, the Hoosiers have done nothing lately that makes anyone think they can make it to a Final Four any time soon. They haven’t even made the tournament in the last three years. And when they have made the tournament, they have struggled to even get out of the first weekend.

But there is a very recent example of a team that looked to be in the same situation as the Hoosiers and made not one, but two Final Four’s in the last decade. And you don’t even have to look outside the Big Ten to find them.

The Michigan Wolverines looked like a lost program before hiring John Beilein and even then they didn’t look great. But a decade later and they were one of the most consistent programs in the country that went to two national title games.

Can Indiana do the same thing this decade? It’s a bold prediction to say they will, but it’s not unheard of. The Wolverines did it with a lot less talent than a lot of the other teams, but they had one of the best coaches in the country.

Many will argue that Archie Miller is not the right guy to lead them to a Final Four and that is yet to be seen, but the Hoosiers will make a Final Four and they may do it with our final bold prediction for the next decade.
