3. The Hoosiers will have a Big Ten POY

Indiana hasn’t had a Big Ten POY since DJ White in 2007-08. They have had some players that have played well enough to win the award in Cody Zeller and Victor Oladipo to name a couple but they both came up just short.

Even with the long drought in a Hoosier winning the award, one will win it this decade. Trayce Jackson-Davis looks like the obvious choice to have a chance to do it currently and he could. He will more than likely need to stay all four years to get a chance. But with the numbers he has put up this year as a freshman, it is not unreal to think that his numbers will be great as a Junior and Senior if he stays.

If Jackson-Davis can’t get it done, I think the Hoosiers will be able to pull in some good recruits soon and they will have a shot to be that guy. it is going to be tough as Tom Izzo always recruits well at Michigan State, Juwan Howard is starting to pull in some high-level recruits at Michigan, and Ohio State is on the way up.

But the Hoosiers still have a draw for recruits to come to Bloomington even with their struggles. They will get it turned around and bring in that special guy who brings the award back to IU.

That recruit plus another bold prediction will help the Hoosiers get to a level they haven’t seen in a long time.
