3. Indiana has a 10 win season

The Hoosiers have never won 10 games in a season. In fact, they have only won nine games in a season two times and the last time was in 1967. But they also had never played a bowl game in the state of Florida until this year and that just happened.

It will be tough for the Hoosiers to get to 10 wins because right now they must play Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, and Ohio State every single year. Traditionally that is four losses and that would keep the Hoosiers from getting to 10 wins.

But they have come close to beating each one of these teams fairly recently. They have even played Ohio State close for a good part of a few games. So why do we think they will get to 10 wins sometime this decade?

To begin with, the non-conference schedule isn’t exactly murders row this decade so that could be three wins. Right now, they are trending better than Maryland, Rutgers, and Purdue. If they can win all of those you have six wins. They just need to grab four more wins and if they avoid Wisconsin from the other division they could win the two crossover games. One year that will all happen and they will get over the hump against Michigan State.

The Spartans are still a good team, but of the four power teams in the East, they are the ones looking like they are the most vulnerable. They will pick off the Spartans and win a bowl game in the same year and get to the 10 win plateau.
