Indiana basketball continues its strong non-conference play with another win in the Crossroads Classic against Notre Dame.

In a brief change of pace, the Indiana basketball program took a break from Big Ten play to head over to Bankers Life Fieldhouse for the Crossroads Classic against Notre Dame, taking down the Irish in a 62-60 win.

It was a rematch of the 2017 Crossroads Classic and once again it was a classic as it took a game-winner by Armaan Franklin with 15.7 seconds left to give Indiana the win.

Indiana, who was up by 17 in the second half, fell apart thanks to a 15-2 run and later a 10-0 run by the Irish to go up by as much a four, with just four minutes left in the game. After that, it was field goalless final four minutes for Notre Dame which ultimately led to an 8-1 run for Indiana.

Armaan Franklin, who came into the game 4-for-27 on the season from deep, finished with a game-high 17 points on 4-for-5 from three.

Having made 35 three’s in the past two games for Notre Dame, the deep ball wasn’t as friendly on Saturday as the Irish went just 6-for-27 from deep.

Dane Goodwin, who is the second leading scorer in the nation off of the bench, had all 15 of his points in the second half, sparking the Irish comeback, but didn’t have enough to finish the Hoosiers off.

Indiana made easy work of the Irish early on by dominating the glass and finished outrebounding them 42-32, which led to 15 second chance points, all being important in the two-point win.

Trayce Jackson-Davis added 14 points on 7-for-9 from the field, while Joey Brunk finished with nine points and a career-high 14 rebounds.
