Indiana Basketball vs UConn: How to watch, injuries, odds
By Alec Lasley
Madison Square Garden awaits a matchup between the UConn Huskies and the Indiana basketball program on Tuesday night in the Jimmy V Classic.
After a very disappointing loss to open up Big Ten play on Saturday against Wisconsin, the Indiana basketball program is again away from Assembly Hall, looking to get back on the right path.
The second of the double-header at Madison Square Garden for the Jimmy V Classic, the Hoosiers will look to get another quality non-conference win under their belt when they face off against the UConn Huskies.
Both teams deep and talented, the Hoosiers look to be the team with one of its star players still nursing an injury heading into Tuesday night.
While Archie Miller has already trimmed down his rotation from the start of the season, getting a fully healthy roster, something he hasn’t had in over a year, will be a welcomed sight as the heart of Big Ten play rolls around.
Until then, Miller is forced to go without a traditional point guard in his lineups, something that has clearly hurt Indiana at times against pesky defenses.
Here is the lone injury to report for Indiana ahead of Tuesday night’s game against UConn.
Questionable
Rob Phinisee (Ankle)
The sophomore point guard continues to make progress with his ankle injury, one of multiple injuries he has dealt with already this season. Archie Miller has made it seem like Phinisee should return to the lineup soon, but it is still expected that he will miss Tuesday’s game.
