2. Turnovers still a concern

Through November the Hoosiers won all their games, but they weren’t always the prettiest of games.  They had times when they didn’t score much and they turned the ball over. It was something that many fans thought would need to shore up if they wanted to beat the tougher teams coming up on their schedule.

They were able to beat Florida State on Tuesday night, but the turnovers were still there. The Hoosiers are averaging 13.8 turnovers a game which is not good, but on Tuesday they turned the ball over 18 times, bringing their average to 18.3 in the last three outings.

They were bailed out by the great shooting from Green and Jackson-Davis, but if the shots aren’t falling, turnovers will be the thing that kills the Hoosiers.

Indiana plays good enough defense to make up for some of its mistakes but teams will eventually take advantage of it, if the number continues to stay high.

Most of it is just lazy passes and being careless with the ball. When they are passing the ball well, the offense runs smoother and they get open shots, but when they get lazy it hurts them. Better defensive teams will make it really tough for the Hoosiers come conference play.

Indiana was able to overcome them against Florida State and their soft November schedule but it could come back to haunt them down the stretch.
