1. Devonte Green’s coming out party

The Hoosiers saw glimpses of this at the end of last year. They thought Green was capable of being their top scorer but an early injury limited him to start the year. He has been back for five games, and has played well off the bench but nothing like Tuesday night.

He came into the game scoring in double-figures in his last three games including back-to-back 16 point efforts against Princeton and Louisiana Tech. He did all of his while averaging 24 minutes a game as they tried to get him back into playing shape.

Whatever they had been doing with him worked as he exploded for 30 points on 10-15 shooting including 5-7 from deep. His shooting has been great since he has been back and if the Hoosiers can keep getting him open shots they are going to be in great shape.

There are still questions if he can lead this Hoosier team, but if Tuesday is an indication he is ready to take the lead. With Trayce Jackson-Davis continuing to play like the top freshman in the Big Ten and Justin Smith also playing well, it gives the Hoosiers three legitimate scorers. That is a good recipe to be very successful in the Big Ten.

The only question is when will Green get back into the starting lineup? After a game like Tuesday, you would think it would start this weekend. But at the same time, if he is going to play that well off the bench, Miller might want to keep the same rotation.

Whichever he decides to use him, Green showed in front of a national crowd that he is ready and with him playing like that, the Hoosiers are a very dangerous team.
