2. Peyton Ramsey

There is no doubt that Ramsey struggled a lot during Saturday’s loss to the Buckeyes, but depending on how long Michael Penix remains sidelined, he needs to step up and be the QB the Hoosiers saw last season.

Ramsey not only looked out matched, but also scared last week and that’s not something you can have from a quarterback in any conference, let alone the Big Ten.

Granted Ramsey won’t be the starting QB for the rest of the season and Penix is expected to be back next week, at the latest, Indiana needs confidence that Ramsey will be able to get the job done if for any reason Penix’s injury lingers longer than expected.

With the talent around Ramsey on the offensive end, the Hoosiers just need him to get the ball out quickly and to his playmakers. Often times last week, Ramsey got rattled by any sort of pressure and tried to create the play himself.

There is a reason that Ramsey got five wins out of Indiana last season; his completion percentage. With most of his completions coming short of the first down sticks, he needs to stick to that and allow his skill players to do the rest.
