1. Stevie Scott

The star freshman running back just a season ago is off to an extremely slow start to the 2019 season.

Following a nine yard performance against Ohio State, Scott’s total yardage for this season is just 118 yards and has yet to reach 65 yards in any of the three games. In 2018, Scott had just a total of three games all season not reaching that total.

What’s even more concerning is the fact that Scott just isn’t getting enough opportunities to run the ball. With just 37 carries this season, his average is down from 19 per game last season, to just 12.3 so far this year.

With his carries down in each game this season, Scott has yet to find a rhythm or comfort in the backfield.

There is no doubt Scott is a crucial part of the offense and with his ability to keep the defense honest and playing the run, it will make the passing game that much more lethal than it has already been with Penix under center.

The passing game has been the focal point of the Indiana offense thus far, but Indiana and Kalen DeBoer need to put an emphasis on Stevie Scott this Saturday and the following weeks.
