Caleb Huntley (Ball State, RB)

This is the bounce back year for the junior running back Caleb Huntley.

In his sophomore season, Huntley played in just the first half of the season before falling victim to injury that held him out the rest of the year. He finished the season with 187 yards on 4.9 yards per carry, in what was a crowded backfield.

Huntley needs to be the difference maker for Ball State as it will open up the field for the Cardinals in the air if he can get going, making it easier on first year, full-time starter Drew Plitt.

With the transfer of James Gilbert, the backfield is a bit of a question mark and Huntley needs to be that guy for the Cardinals moving forward. This is not anything new however, as he was a 1,000-yard rusher in 2017, just the second freshman in Ball State history to rush for at least 1,000 yards.
