3. In early, continued recruitment

Since the beginning of the summer months, Matt Cross has been one of the biggest risers in the recruiting ranks, from a three-star prospect ranked in the low 200’s, all the way up to No. 78 in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Archie Miller had an eye for Cross early, dating back to his junior season and offered a scholarship in April, compared to Texas A&M who offered in late June and Florida, who has surprised a lot of people as of late especially when they secured a visit.

Cross detailed what it meant to receive a big offer from Indiana early in his recruitment before it started to pick up steam.

"“It means a lot because everyone at a younger age these days is just expecting it to just come to them,” Cross said. “All the the hard work I’m doing, I just appreciate being recognized by coaches and big programs like Indiana.”"

Indiana has made it two-for-two when it comes to landing commitments with prospects Archie Miller has built a solid relationship with so far in the 2020 class, and Cross seems to be that third fit.
