2. Basketball Tradition

There is no question the Hoosiers hold a huge advantage over every other school in his recruitment with its basketball tradition.

Cross has been open about his desire to play at a basketball school and that is exactly what Indiana provides him.

With all of the other programs involved in his recruitment, every one of them has its football program outshine that of the basketball program.

Despite Indiana not having the success it experienced in the 70’s through the 90’s, the Hoosiers still have the draw and the tie to college basketball tradition.

Yes, South Carolina has been to a Final Four in the past 10 years, and Florida had its run in the mid 2000’s but overall, it is very difficult to find many programs with the pedigree that Assembly Hall and the Hoosiers provide.

All Cross needs to do is look up when he steps foot in Assembly Hall and see the banners that have already been raised.
