Indiana Basketball: Caleb Love sets all five official visits
By Alec Lasley
The point guard standout and Indiana basketball target sets all five official visits with his recruitment winding down.
Caleb Love’s recruitment is slowly winding down and his dad tells Jeff Rabjohns of 247Sports that he has set all five of his official visits. The Indiana basketball program will receive the second official visits from September 13-15.
The 6-foot-3 guard recently trimmed his list to six including Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, Missouri and North Carolina. While many people believed Missouri would receive just an unofficial visits, being he is from St. Louis, Love decided to leave out Arizona when it came to his official visits.
His visits will start with Missouri from September 7-8, then Indiana. North Carolina will follow from September 20-22, then Louisville from the 27-29 and finally wrapping up his visits at Kansas from October 12-13.

Love hasn’t been shy of visiting campuses though, taking multiple unofficial visits to Indiana, Louisville, Missouri and Kansas throughout the fall.
Hoosier State of Mind has highlighted the fact that Indiana has been involved with Love for the majority of his recruitment but may not have enough to beat out the likes of North Carolina or Louisville.
Rivals’ analyst Corey Evans touched on one of the major points that Love has expressed to him, the fact that “he would be even more interested in the program if it was able to snag other highly-touted prospects.”
That seems to be the major factor with Love; the lack of true ‘star power’ on the Indiana roster. While the Hoosiers do have two 2020 commitments with Trey Galloway and top-100 guard Anthony Leal, some of the other programs in play either have five-star prospects already committed or will have openings at the point guard position. Love will be competing with Galloway, Leal, Al Durham, Armaan Franklin, and current starting point guard Rob Phinisee for minutes in the backcourt if he were to come to Bloomington.
My pick still goes to North Carolina as they have the star power as well as the opening at the point guard position.
