Indiana Basketball: One of biggest risers in 2020 class sets IU official
By Alec Lasley
Indiana basketball continues to be on a tear over the past month in recruiting as one of the hottest targets sets an official visit to Bloomington.
One of the biggest risers in the recruiting world over the past month has his sights set on the Indiana basketball program and Archie Miller as he set an official visit to Bloomington.
Class of 2020 forward Jordan Geronimo is one of the most intriguing targets in the class and has his first official visit set, planning to come to Indiana on August 30, per multiple reports.
While Indiana will receive the first visit, the 6-foot-6 New Hampshire native will also take visits to Georgia on September 21, and Boston College on September 27.
After a super impressive summer paying for Mass Rivals (MA) which caught the eyes of many of the top programs around the country, dozens of offers began to pile up for Geronimo. Along with Indiana, he also received offers from West Virginia, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Penn State, Utah, VCU, Providence, and Xavier amongst others.

What intrigues Geronimo most about the Hoosiers?
"“Indiana’s pitch was explaining to me how they were going to use me in their system and how I can be a basketball star in the next couple of years under the right development,” he explained. “He started listing NBA players that he coached and I’m not going to lie, that kind of got me feeling some type of way.”"
NBA potential is not something new to go through the Mass Rivals to Indiana route, something that may be in Geronimo’s future. Former Hoosier Noah Vonleh also played for Mass Rivals on the AAU circuit before his lone season at Indiana.
Averaging 9.8 points per game on 54 percent shooting during his AAU season, he raised his average to 13.3 points in his final event of the season at the Adidas Gauntlet Finale.
Indiana has put themselves in a great position early in Geronimo’s recruitment but with Tom Crean’s track record with late bloomers like Dwyane Wade, Victor Oladipo, and OG Anunoby, Georgia could be the team to battle the Hoosiers until the end.
