Matt Haarms (2016-Present)

The newest addition to the list of hated Purdue players makes a case for the most hated of all, and almost every Indiana fan can agree with that.

The 7-foot-3 big man has become known in Assembly Hall for his love of flopping, as well as playing with his hair:

The Indiana student section was reprimanded by AD Fred Glass last season for chanting “F–k you, Haarms,” during the home game versus the Boilermakers this past season. “They were all over me. It was bad,” Haarms said after that game. “It’s always bad. It’s bad at Michigan, at Michigan State, at Maryland, at Iowa, but not like this.” It’s apparent from his comments that IU fans are not alone in their distaste of Haarms.

Haarms is one of those guys who you look at and for whatever reason are just inclined to dislike.

Combine that with his infuriating style of play, featuring plenty of dramatic screeches, flops, and an Elite 8 run while Indiana fans watch their team struggle, and you’ve got yourself a blueprint for a massively irritating player. Better yet, there’s still two more years before Haarms graduates, so the hate is not done yet.
