Indiana Basketball: Top NBA prospects on the Indiana roster
Jerome Hunter
One of the most intriguing NBA prospects on the Indiana basketball team entering his freshman season, Hunter was generally regarded as a top 50 player in the 2018 recruiting class according to Rivals and 247 Sports.
He not only possesses the physical tools NBA scouts crave for in a small forward at 6-foot-7 and 215 pounds, but also his skillset.
A nice stroke from the outside, and the ability to take smaller defenders in the paint, Hunter’s ability on the floor has seemingly been forgotten since his injury.
However, not much is known about Hunter’s current skill set at the NCAA level after receiving a medical hardship waiver and redshirting his freshman season. His leg injury has held him out of full contact drills ever since surgery back in November of 2018.
While there is concern he may not get back to playing at the level he once was, it is still a question if he will be back at all.
IF he is able to find his game and play at the level he once did, there is no question that the NBA is in his future, it’s just a matter of if that comes to fruition.
